Facebook Lead ads have been undergoing big changes over the past few months. Some of the recent changes to the lead ad are super powerful and you would be crazy not to start using lead ads as part of your advertising strategy.

In this article, let’s focus on the new appointment scheduling feature.

This new feature allows advertisers to include a date and time question, so the prospect can choose a contact time that will work best for them.

This feature is a game changer if you are using an appointment as part of your lead generation efforts.

The date and time are not yet connecting to booking systems, so the best way to use them is to collect preferred dates and times for follow up interaction.

Currently, the date is hardcoded to be in the 7:00 am to 10:00 pm time range, but Facebook intends to launch the ability for advertisers to adjust the date and time preferences in 2018.

This is a powerful feature because it allows you to generate leads that are higher quality and have a higher intent of interacting with your business. It also improves the prospects experience with your company. They tell you when they want you to engage with them!

How to set it up

When you create your lead form, choose a custom question and select the “Appointment Scheduling” option.

Then create a question that will prompt people to provide their appointment preferences.

Including this question will populate a calendar option for people to enter a date and time when they submit the lead form.

When you use this feature, you can still use up to 2 additional custom questions with your lead ad.

This new feature is only available to deliver on Facebook placements but should be rolled out on Instagram soon also.
