GOAL: Generating Leads & Sales for eCommerce Store Selling Bamboo Fly Fishing Rods

SUCCESS STORY

Headwaters Bamboo wanted to use Facebook to sell more bamboo fishing rods and reels. After consulting with Headwaters, the Zenfusion team decided that because of the fact that most sales were made from email marketing sent to leads that had come from Facebook, and because of the high average cost of the products, that using Facebook ads for lead generation would be better than going direct to sale.

Generating More Sales With Facebook Ads

Headwaters Bamboo wanted to generate more leads and sales for their eCommerce store using Facebook ads. The Zenfusion team was able to develop a strategy that helped them to generate sales from lead ads using email marketing and a lead magnet offer.

THEIR SOLUTION

Offering Casting Guide Lead Magnet and Lead Accelerator Strategy

After consulting with David we discovered that although he was using Facebook ads to generate some sales, the bulk of his sales were coming from his email marketing efforts.

Typically with an eCommerce business we would use a strategy that went direct to sale.

However, due to the higher cost of the products ($500 Average) and the fact that most sales were coming from email broadcast we decided to use the “Cast Like a Pro” Casting Guide to generate leads.

Once the leads were generated, Headwaters Bamboo would follow up with a 5 day automated email campaign and then send out weekly email broadcasts with offers on their fishing products.

The results discussed here are for the dates 9/28/2017 - 10/4/2017. The goal of this campaign was to generate leads that could be followed up with by automated email campaigns and broadcast email campaigns. Here are some of the highlights:  

  • 497 Leads
  • Average Cost Per Lead $1.76
  • Sales made from email broadcast to leads generated from Facebook.
  • 19,528 Video Views
