This Privacy Policy explains how Zenfusion LLC ("Zenfusion," "we," "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use zenfusion.com, our managed SEO and AEO services, and the Zenfusion: AI SEO + AEO Pages app for Shopify (together, the "Services").

Short version: we collect what we need to run the Services, we don't sell your information, and when you uninstall the app or ask us to, we delete what we hold.

1. Who this policy covers

  • Merchants who install the Zenfusion app on a Shopify store.
  • Clients who purchase Zenfusion managed services.
  • Visitors to zenfusion.com.

If you are a shopper on a store that uses Zenfusion, that store's privacy policy governs how your information is handled. Zenfusion does not collect shoppers' personal information through the app. See Section 3.

2. Information we collect from merchants using the app

When you install the app, Shopify shares certain store information with us so the app can work. We access only what the app needs:

  • Store details: store name, myshopify domain, primary domain, store owner name and email, store currency and locale, and your Zenfusion plan.

  • Catalog data: products, variants, collections, product images, and product descriptions. This is the source material the app writes from.

  • Content data: pages and blog posts the app creates, edits, schedules, or publishes to your store, plus their metadata (titles, meta descriptions, publish status).

  • Inputs you give the app: personas, keywords, titles, author profiles, style settings, image selections, and YouTube URLs or channels you add.

  • Billing status: your current plan, credit balance, and purchase history. Payment itself runs through Shopify's Billing API. We never see or store your card number.

  • Usage data: which features you use, pages generated, errors, and diagnostic logs, so we can support you and improve the app.

3. What we do not collect through the app

The app does not request access to your customers, orders, checkout, or payment data. It reads your catalog and writes pages and blog posts. It does not modify your theme. Where the app displays Loox reviews inside a page, those reviews are rendered from your own store's Loox data on your storefront; Zenfusion does not copy or store them.

4. Information we collect from clients and website visitors

  • Contact and account information you provide through forms, email, onboarding surveys, or calls: name, email, phone, company, store URL, and the goals and details you share with us.

  • Payment information for managed services is processed by Stripe. We receive confirmation of payment and the last four digits of your card; we do not store full card numbers.

  • Site access data: for managed clients, credentials or collaborator access you grant us to your Shopify store, analytics, or search console accounts.

  • Website analytics and cookies: see Section 11.

5. How we use information

  • To operate the Services: generate, schedule, and publish content to your store, and deliver managed services.
  • To manage your plan, credits, and billing.
  • To provide support and respond to your requests.
  • To monitor performance, fix errors, and improve the Services.
  • To send service messages (onboarding, plan changes, security notices) and, if you opt in, product updates. You can unsubscribe from marketing email at any time.
  • To comply with law and enforce our Terms of Service.

6. AI processing

The app generates content using third-party AI models. To do this, we send the relevant inputs (product titles and descriptions, collection names, keywords, personas, style settings, and similar) to our AI providers, who return generated text. We do not send your customers' personal information to AI providers, because the app does not collect it.

Our AI providers process this data only to provide the service to us. Under our agreements with them, they do not use your data to train their models.

7. How we share information

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. We share information only with:

  • Service providers who help us run the Services under contract: cloud hosting and infrastructure, AI model providers (Section 6), email delivery, error monitoring, and analytics.

  • Shopify, which operates the App Store, billing, and the APIs the app runs on. Shopify's own privacy policy applies to its handling of your data.

  • Stripe, for managed service billing.

  • Image and video services you use from within the app: Pexels, Pixabay, and YouTube. When you search or embed from these services, your request goes to them directly under their terms.

  • Legal and safety: when required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Zenfusion, our users, or others.

  • Business transfers: in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.

8. Shopify data requests and deletion

We honor Shopify's mandatory privacy webhooks:

  • Shop data erasure (shop/redact): when you uninstall the app, Shopify notifies us 48 hours later, and we delete the store data we hold (store details, catalog copies, inputs, usage logs) within 30 days of that notice. Pages and blog posts the app already published remain in your Shopify store because they belong to you.

  • Customer data requests (customers/data_request) and customer data erasure (customers/redact): because the app does not collect shoppers' personal information, we will have nothing to return or erase, and we confirm that to the requesting store within 30 days.

9. Data retention

  • App data: for as long as the app is installed, then deleted as described in Section 8.

  • Client and account records: for the life of the relationship plus up to 90 days after it ends, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.

  • Billing and tax records: as required by law, typically seven years.

  • Usage and diagnostic logs: up to 24 months.

10. Security

We protect information with encryption in transit (TLS), encryption at rest for stored data, access controls limited to staff who need it, and Shopify's OAuth for app authentication. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we will notify you and any relevant regulator as required by law if a breach affects your information.

11. Cookies and analytics

zenfusion.com uses cookies and similar technologies for essential site functions, to remember your preferences, and to measure how the site is used. We use Google Analytics and Shopify's built-in analytics for this. You can control cookies through your browser settings. The Zenfusion app runs inside your Shopify admin and uses only the session cookies needed to keep you signed in.

12. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, to restrict or object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these rights, email success@zenfusion.com. We will respond within 30 days. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland: our legal bases for processing are performance of a contract (providing the Services), legitimate interests (improving and securing the Services), consent (marketing email), and legal obligation. You may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

California: we do not sell or "share" personal information as defined by the CCPA/CPRA, and we have not done so in the preceding 12 months. You may request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we hold about you, and request deletion, using the contact above.

13. International transfers

Zenfusion is based in the United States, and our service providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, we rely on standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards for transfers out of the EEA, UK, or Switzerland.

14. Children

The Services are for businesses and are not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

15. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the Services change. We will post the new version here with a new effective date and, for material changes, notify merchants and clients by email or inside the app.
